So, here's the story:
I have a good friend who, like me, is completely obsessed with comic books! Over the summer, she invited me to New York Comic Con (NYCC) in October. Obviously, I said yes! However, when we both went to a local comic con, we noticed that, well, EVERYONE was wearing an amazing costume with the most beautiful detail that I only realized later had been completely homemade...
We, being such big fans, decided that it would be really fun to make our own costumes for NYCC and decided that doing our favorite Avengers characters would be a great idea! So, she decided to do a simple female Iron Man and I decided to do a simple female Loki.
Here's the thing, though, there's NO SUCH THING as a simple female Loki. At least not one that you can still tell is Loki. Let's be honest, unless you make an exact copy of his outfit without the horns, no one will know it's Loki. So the horns and the scepter were both a must. And that may not have been the best thing for me...
So, for my first costume ever, I have decided to make my very own female Loki from scratch(ish). That means cape, horns, and scepter all from cheap(ish) materials. If you also want to make one, follow these lovely instructions! (Although, don't prepare to finish it until November...I have until October).
Good luck to you and good luck to me! I'll need it if I'm planning on turning a pile of potential epicness into a costume!
